Dinner for 2 at Felidia for Under $100 Dollars!
by Fortunato Nicotra
Weeknights at Felidia, I’ve started a new menu that offers dinner for two and a bottle of Bastianich wine, all for just under $100 dollars! This special menu showcases Felidia’s signature dishes, and one of my absolute favorites- chicken for two. A perfect chicken for two is often hard to find, but there is nothing quite like it when you find a good one. This special menu, which is just $48 dollars per person, offers a 3-course menu and either a bottle of Bastianich Friulano, or La Mozza “I Perazzi.” Just last week, Lidia was on Bravo’s Top Chef- the episode was called “Last Supper”- and the dish she requested as her “last supper” was a simply-roasted chicken. Click here for a roast chicken recipe from Lidia. Below is a picture of the one I serve at Felidia- crispy skin, simply roasted with salt and pepper, and comes with potatoes.
This special menu is served Monday through Friday, from 4:30pm-6:15pm, and again after 9pm.
For reservations, please call 212.758.1479 and please inform us that you will be
joining us for this special menu.

2/24/09 Hi Chef, Leave it to you to come up with a mouth watering dish with universal appeal. I wish I wasn’t 3,000 miles away! Just looking at this delectable meal almost satisfies me. You’re the greatest!
We have a hard time in Los Angeles coming up with Bastianich wines even though some of the Italian specialty stores are great. I plan to order a case from one of your recommended NY wine shops and suck up the shipping charges. We’re insufferably proud of our California wines out here, so I will tease my dinner guests to identify what theyre drinking.
Incidentally, the recipe accompanying your article may need another look? Is it possible to have 6 chickens, each 1/4 lb? In any event the process described applies to cooking any one chicken which I have done successfully. (It can’t compare to yours, Chef!)
Keep the customers clamoring for the delicious food at Felidia’s. Keep happy, creative, and super patient with the occasional yahoo who comes your way. Joan

My family and I had dinner at Felidias on Saturday, May 2nd. It was a great wish of mine to dine there and we were happy to see Lidia come in and be so welcoming as she greeted her guests. I had never been to New York City so as my children are starting school in the area it proved to be the perfect opportunity. We hope to come back, to one of your other restaurants or to have that wonderful chicken dinner shown above. Two of our children are vegetarian, so we chose to have the chef’s 5 course meal. The choices were rich with flavor and were mostly items we would not have thought to order. The entire meal, especially the Bastianich wine was wonderful. While we did not personally get to thank Lidia, I want to compliment the entire staff for their help and graciousness throughout the evening.
