Nonna Lidia Makes Gnocchi…..
Nonna Lidia spent a morning with seventeen kindergarten students at Buckley Country Day School, a private, independent, co-educational elementary school on Long Island, pre-school through grade 8. Everyone had such fun smelling herbs and learning how to make gnocchi. The children really got their hands into the project, and became experts at rolling the small gnocchi balls over the fork tines. Nonna Erminia and I were also on hand to cook up the gnocchi, which was enjoyed as a mid morning snack. Each child took home the recipe and now it is up to the moms to keep the gnocchi rolling.
To try this recipe at home with your own children, click here. It’s a great way to get kids excited about cooking, and exploring new flavors, scents, and textures.

Just got my first newsletter and love it. My husband and I have been watching Lidia for over a year now. He has started to cook!!!
So happy to see Grandma in these pics. She looks wonderful and whenever she is on the show I think of my grandmother who came from Germany. She makes me smile. My grandmother and Mother also taught me lots about cooking.
Can’t wait to see the new shows in September.

Hi Lydia and Tanya, I love the Show. Can’t wait for the new cookbook. I have a question for Tanya. I belong to the Sons and Daughters of itay in North Haven Ct.We are having our Festival on August 21 and 22. I am the co-person for the Cultural Events. Every year we have a theme. This year its the Italian Renaissance.Do you have any suggestions where I can get handouts or posters about the renaissance. We like to give out free information to the people that come to our especially children so they learn about the italian culture. Thank you for your time. Maria Villecco
